Thelmarae Wieringa,  55, of Rochester passed away on September 1, 2019  unexpectedly at her home.

On February 28, 1964, Thelmarae Frazier was born in Champaign, Illinois.  She was a treasured daughter of Charles and Virginia Lee Michaels Frazier.  As one of four children, growing up she shared her childhood with two sisters, Gustave, Lela Fay and a brother Charles.

As the matriarch of the Wieringa family, Grandma Thelma was proud to oversee three generations.  Paramount were her 19 grandchildren.  She adored each one and loved them to the moon and back!  She especially was joyous in attending her grandchildren's sporting events and school concerts.  The holidays and special family celebrations brought on making many new memories that lasted a lifetime. 

Left to cherish Thelma's memory are six children: William L. Wieringa and fiancee Nicole, Margaret Clingler and husband Thomas, Virginia Wieringa and husband Kenneth Morgan all of Rochester, Geraldine Arebalo and husband Miguel of Chicago Heights, IL, Myklejo Parker and husband Michael Moore of Chicago, Samantha Wieringa and fiancee  Jon Sorak of Rochester; the father of her children Michael David Wieringa of Winamac;  19 grandchildren: Ethan, Amara, Arianna, Sydney, Jordan, Carter, Kameron, Ian, Bentley,  Paislee, Liam,  Destiny, Nevaeh,  Mariah, Sean, Jayden, Izaiah, Meyah and Landon;  two sisters: Gustave Salyer and husband Wayne of Monterey, Lela Fay Sparks and husband Don of Lancaster, Missouri;  a brother, Charles Francis Stirk of Royal Center; and her treasured canine companion Coco-Pebbles, the tan and black Yorkie-Terrier blend.

Services celebrating her life will be held at a later date.
