David A. Eskridge 40 of Rochester

David Eskridge, 40, of Rochester, passed away at 12:37 PM on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at his residence.

On January 29, 1980, David Allen Eskridge was born in Rochester. He was a treasured son of Keith A. Eskridge and Tammy S. Barnhart. Growing up in Rochester he shared his childhood with a sister Jennifer. David played baseball on both  the Little League and Babe Ruth League.   He was known as a hard throwing right handed pitcher. He also was a flashy shortstop gliding between 2nd and 3rd base turning out many defensive aces and was on the front end of many double plays. David was a member of the class of 1998.

As an athlete, David loved bowling in men's league at Country Lanes. A member of the USBC, he once rolled a perfect 300 game. David was known for the "big hook," he threw with great finesse. Many memories were made on the 3-generation men's fishing trips with grandpa and his dad. Armed with his open-faced casting rod David looked forward to catching the limit of bluegill, his most sought after fish. He was a member of Duck's Unlimited.

With amazing accuracy, David loved to challenge his friends and family to games of disc golf.  He especially loved games with his Mark Alan.  As an American sportsman he loved mushroom hunting and hammock tent camping in Michigan.  David and his Dad made many memories hunting deer and ducks.  David had fond memories of heading to the Windy City and to watch the Cubbies with Uncle Mark.  He adored his nephews and niece: Brayden, Mason and Reagan and enjoyed playtime adventures.

David was "the King," of Pyrotechnics.  As a passionate perfectionist he would create displays of fireworks second to none.  He was in charge of the annual family 4th of July show and customized many special celebrations, using his talents, garnering many oooohs and aaaaas.   David was a huge Notre Dame fan and lived his life by the motto: "Play Like a Champion Today."
