Ginger Vigar Caswell-Govett, 57, formerly of Rochester

Ginger Vigar Caswell-Govett, 57, formerly of Rochester, was surrounded by her loving family when passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2020 at her residence in California.  This followed a 5 year valiant  battle with cancer.

On July 7, 1962, Ginger Marie Vigar was born in Kosciusko County.  She was a treasured daughter of  Jimmy and Patricia A. Holloway Vigar. Growing up she shared her childhood with a sister, Shelli.  Ginger graduated from Caston High School.  She continued her education at Indiana University at Kokomo earning an associates degree in criminal justice.  She also  attended  Denver Baptist Bible College studying general education and Bible studies.

After spending most of her life in Fulton County, Ginger moved to California and working in real estate as a broker for the London Properties Group.  On July 30, 2008, Ginger married Melvin Wayne Govett at a Methodist Church  near Carmel-By-The-Sea, California.  She was a member of the Grace Community Church in Madera, CA.  Devoted to her church she was a member of the "Good News Club," working at after-school programs bringing the news of the Bible and presenting activities to her students.  She also deeply involved teaching the  AWANA groups at church

Left to cherish Ginger's memory  are a  son Steven Caswell and wife Sherri of  Westfield; husband, Melvin W. Govett; a step-daughter Amie Baker and husband Harold of Coarse Gold, CA;  2 grandchildren:  Lily and Riley; 3 step-grandchildren:  Jadon, Jasmine and Ashley; parents, Jim and Patricia Vigar of  Madera, California; a  sister, Shelli Freeman and husband Dan of  Manhattan, Montana; and  several nieces and nephews.

Private family services will be held with Pastor Rod Ruberg officiating. Interment will be in  the Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
