James R. Loebig,79

James R. Loebig 79, Rochester, Indiana, passed away at 7:10 A.M. Thursday August 20, 2020 at his residence.

He was born on March 17, 1941 in Algona, Iowa, the son of Edmund J. and Maurine K. (Hansen) Loebig. Jim graduated from Rochester High School in 1959 and from Lain Tech in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1963 with a degree in Architectural Drafting.

On March 3, 1962 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rochester, Indiana, he married Pamela J. Jones, his high school sweetheart, and she survives.

Jim had been General Manager and shareholder with Ad- Vance Magnetics in Rochester until his retirement in 2003.

He had been a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Moose Lodge and Elk’s Lodge. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, tending to his yard and flowers, and playing cards with family and friends

Survivors include his wife, Pam Loebig, Rochester, Indiana, brother, Bob (Carol) Loebig, Rochester, Indiana, children, Tami (Augie) Mena, Austin, Texas, Misi (Eric) Johnson, Carmel, Indiana, Todd Loebig, Portage, Michigan, grandchildren, Andie (David) McClendon, San Antonio, Texas, Dr. Steffi (Dr. Matt) Novak, Belton, Texas, Erica (Robert) Buhmann, Fishers, Indiana, Katie Mena, Austin, Texas, Lexi Johnson, Carmel, Indiana, Joshua Loebig, Jacob Loebig, Thomas Loebig, Lauren Loebig, all of Portage, Michigan, great grandchildren, Aidan and Ella McClendon, Luke Novak, several nieces , nephews and his fur babies, Winnie and Pooh-Bear. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jerrold E. Loebig.

Funeral mass will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday August 26, 2020 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Rochester, Indiana. Rosary will be recited at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday at the church. Friends may visit from 4- 8 P.M. Tuesday at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, Indiana. In accordance with state mandate for Covid-19, masks should be worn during visitation. Burial will be at a later date at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Rochester, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or the Fulton County Animal Adoption and Education Center.
