Margaret L. White 83

Margaret L. White 83, Fort Wayne, Indiana and longtime Macy, Indiana resident, passed away at 4:14 P.M. Thursday August 27, 2020, at Sage Bluff Health and Rehab Center, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

She was born on March 21, 1937 in Monterey, Indiana, the daughter of Harry Edward and Mary Magdalene (Warmbrod) Rock. On January 26, 1973 at the Richland Center United Methodist Church, she married Virgil Howard White. He preceded her in death on April 16, 2011.

Margaret had been a press operator at General Tire, Wabash, Indiana, drove a school bus for North Miami Schools for many years, served as Allen Township Trustee and worked on the family farm. She had attended the First Baptist Church, Rochester and the Macy Christian Church as well as serving on the Macy Beautification Board. She enjoyed gospel music, Indiana University basketball, reading, especially the Bible and cooking.

Survivors include her sons, Mark Kevin (Jennifer) Lyons, Kokomo, Indiana, Matthew Kennard (Kerrie) Lyons, Fort Wayne, Indiana, Dustin Scott (Sara) White, Portage, Indiana, step-children, Randy White (Dan), Bloomfield, Indiana, Cheryl (Robert) Bartoo, Wabash, Indiana, Ron White, Rochester, Indiana, Raymond White, Rochester, Indiana, grandchildren, Zechariah Matthew (Claire) Lyons, Indianapolis, Indiana, Nathan Andrew Lyons (Fiance’ Amanda Deckard), Speedway, Indiana, Adam Michael Lyons, Columbus, Indiana, Dustin Wilson Scott White, Portage, Indiana, Ronda Moore, Wabash, Indiana, John Williams, Stuebenville, Ohio, Amanda White, Jake White, Austin White, Ashley Works, Jenna Bartoo, Houston White, great granddaughter, Harper Marie Lyons, sister, Anna (Ora) Clemons, Macy, Indiana, brother, James (Barbara) Rock, Rochester, Indiana, sisters-in-law, Alta Madlem, Macy, Indiana, Mary Rock, Tippecanoe, Indiana, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Doris Hittle and Erma Sutton, brothers, Donald Rock and Ivan Rock.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Monday August 31, 2020, at the First Baptist Church, Rochester, Indiana with Dr. Mark Spencer officiating. Friends may visit from 2-6 P.M. Sunday at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, Indiana and one hour prior to service Monday at the church. Burial will be in the Plainview Cemetery, Macy, Indiana.
