Betty Rose McCarty, 89, of Francesville, IN passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at Parkview Haven Retirement Home in Francesville. She was born on October 15, 1930 in Salyersville, KY to the late Adam and Ada [Arnett] Banks. On March 19, 1946, Betty married Lacy McCarty in Salyersville. He passed away on May 4, 2004. She was a homemaker and worked as a cook in the cafeteria at West Central High School for over 15 years.
Betty was a member of the Francesville First Christian Church. She loved the Lord and enjoyed the fellowship of her church family. Betty loved our country and was a very patriotic woman.
Betty enjoyed gardening and canning as well as fixing large meals for her family. She loved her family very much, especially attending her grandchildren’s activities and spending time with all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Betty will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew and loved her.

Funeral Services will take place at 2 PM EDT Thursday, September 3, 2020 at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel in Francesville, IN with Ryan McCarty and Jeremy Glasford officiating.
Burial will take place at Independence Cemetery in Medaryville, IN.
