Michael “Mike” D. Burkett 64, Rochester, Indiana, passed away at 7:19 A.M. Sunday, September 13, 2020, at his residence.
He was born on March 23, 1956 in Rochester, Indiana, the son of Donald J. and Jacqueline “Jackie” (Couse) Burkett. He married Cheryl Tillman on September 16, 2018 in Rochester, Indiana and she survives.
Mike had worked as a Union Millwright for many years before retirement. He had been a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliaries and enjoyed golf and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Burkett, Rochester, Indiana, children, Joey Burkett, Rochester, Indiana, Stacia Conrad, Rochester, Indiana, step-children, Craig Reeser, Akron, Indiana, Geoffrey Reeser, South Whitley, Indiana, Christopher Reeser, Claypool, Indiana, three grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, one step great grandchild, mother, Jackie Burkett, Rochester, Indiana, brothers, William (Melinda) Burkett, Rochester, Indiana, Patrick (Robin) Burkett, Rochester, Indiana, father and mother-in-law, Robert and Delores Tillman, Claypool, Indiana, several nieces, nephews, cousins, brother and sister–in-laws. He was preceded in death by his father.
