Eloise M. Lawson, 92

Miss Eloise M. Lawson, 92 of Leiters Ford passed away at 8:50 PM on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at Hickory Creek of Rochester. 

 

On May 9, 1928, Eloise Marjean Lawson was born in Leiters Ford.  She was a cherished daughter of Earl J. and Helen Van Kirk Lawson. Growing up on the farm, she shared her childhood with a sister, Rosalie and two brothers, Albert and John.  Eloise remained in the home of her birth for 78 years where in the early years she developed a strong work ethic.  During her formative years Eloise helped with chores for their livestock including Holsteins, chickens and pigs, developing a love for animals.  She was a 1946 graduate of Aubbeenaubbee Township High School. 

 

A dedicated employee of Torx/Acument Global Technology, Eloise began her career in 1949.  Her work with Torx spanned over 42 years, when she retired in 1991.  


Over the years Eloise, enjoyed the companionship of her treasured canine companions.  She loved being outdoors. Each spring she planted a vegetable garden sharing the harvest with her family and friends. She also planted flowers.  Aunt Eloise was the proud owner of a special library of unique cookbooks.  She shared her passion for cooking and baking with her niece Lucretia  

  

Survivors include nieces and nephews, Lucretia and Greg Webster of Rochester, Ted Lawson, Mike Lawson, Jim Lancaster, Melinda Lancaster and  great nieces and nephews. 

 

Preceding Eloise in death are her parents Earl and Helen Lawson, sister, Rosalie Lancaster and two Lawson brothers, Albert and John. 

 

A   private graveside service celebrating the life of Miss Eloise M. Lawson will be  Monday, November 2, 2020 at the Leiters Ford IOOF Cemetery.
