Randy Holloway, 68, of Rochester

Randy Holloway, 68, of Rochester passed away at his home on April 24, 2021. 

 

On November 11, 1952, Randall J Holloway was born in South Bend.   He was the second son of George Dale and Bette Lou Priser Holloway.  Randy shared his childhood with his older brother Jeff.  He attended Rochester Schools and graduated in 1971 from Rochester High School.

 

With a strong work ethic Randy began his +30-year career in telecommunications with the Rochester Telephone Company as a lineman.  For many years he worked on new installations and repair before retiring from RTC in 2002.

 

In his early years, Randy spent several summers at the Rochester Little League Park, coaching and umpiring youth baseball.  He also loved spending time on Lake Manitou fishing and water skiing.  Randy is remembered for the meticulous manner he kept his lawn and landscape manicured to perfection.  His car and truck detailed with a showroom appearance.   As a grill master, Randy always served the juiciest, best burgers, chicken and steaks.  He also made amazing loaded chocolate chip cookies from scratch and shared them with family and friends at the holidays. An avid animal lover, Randy was the proud Dad to Calvin the Boston Terrier and a few other Bostons along the way. 

 

Left to cherish Randy's memory are his brother Jeffrey D. Holloway and wife Carole of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico;  nephew Nicholas Holloway of Arizona; and special cousins: Pat and Phil Thompson of Rochester, Brent and Tura Thompson of Palatka, FL,  Barry and Sara Thompson, Brad and Loraine Thompson all of Rochester.  Also surviving is Lucy his feline companion.

 

Preceding Randy in death are his parents George and Bette Holloway and a niece Danielle Holloway.

A private family graveside service celebrating the life of Mr. Randy Holloway will be in the Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
