Cecil Ray Wireman, 80, of Medaryville, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 18, 2021. He passed away peacefully at Parkview Haven Retirement Home in Francesville, IN.
Ray was born on October 16, 1940 in Rensselaer, IN. He graduated from Wheatfield High School in 1959.
On February 28, 1981, Ray married Shelia Burns at the Medaryville Christian Church. Shelia passed away on July 16, 2020.
Ray retired from Bethlehem Steel where he worked many years a crane operator.
Ray was a kind and generous man who was known to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He often gave people rides to their doctor’s appointments, the grocery store, or wherever they needed to go. Ray knew everyone and everyone knew Ray. Years ago, he was known as the “mayor of Medaryville”.
Ray enjoyed going to flea markets and was acollector of many things. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Ray will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be from 4-8 PM EDT Monday, July 26, 2021 at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel in Medaryville.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel in Medaryville with Pastor Tom Dewlen officiating.
Burial will take place at White Post Cemetery in Medaryville.
