Carl Adley, 65, of Rochester

Mr. Carl Adley, 65, of Rochester passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2021.


 

On January 14, 1956, Lloyd Carl Adley was born in Rochester.  He was a treasured son of Lloyd and Julia Brown Adley.  Growing up he shared his childhood with two sisters, Marsha and Mary Anne. He was a life time Fulton County resident, with the exception of 2 ½ years in Glasgow, KY.


 

After graduating from Rochester High School in 1974, Carl continued his education at Indiana State University and graduated in 1977 earning a BS degree in Business Administration. He worked for Edmonton Manufacturing Company that later became Topps Safety Apparel, Inc. from 1971 to 2019. His co-workers were considered family.


 

With a keen interest in soccer, Carl provided convincing energy and enthusiasm to help thrust soccer to an IHSAA team sport at RHS for both girls and boys.  He was an accomplished poker player and enjoyed challenging family and friends to the most spirited games.  Annually, fall brought on the family football pools.  Carl took the helm of organizing the pool, while his wife Cathy was delighted to take the wins!!!


 

Carl was blessed to have two sets of kids, Arron McDaniel, Shawn McDaniel and wife Danielle and Meghan McDaniel Miller became part of his family in 1981. After marrying Cathy Ann Floyd in 1992 he was blessed with four more sons, Ty Dale Adley and wife Lauren of Rochester, Joshua Lloyd Adley and girlfriend Erica of Westfield, Trey Adam Adley and wife Arrianah of Yokota AFB, Fussa Japan and Jared Chase Adley of Bloomington; several grandchildren; two sisters Marsha J. Roberts and husband John of Rochester, Mary Anne Heishman and husband Mark of Brownsburg; nieces, nephews and special relatives from the Brown families.


 

Preceding Carl in death are his parents, niece Tracey Heishman, a longtime friend, Brother Bob Becht.


 

A celebration of the life of Mr. Carl Adley will be at 11:00 AM  on Monday, August 23, 2021 at the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 West 18th St., Rochester.  His family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 AM.  In lieu of flowers, may be made to the FCCF for the Fulton County Parks and Recreation, 125 E. 9th St., Rochester, IN 46975   Electronic expressions may be made to his family at www.goodfamilyfh.com .
