Linda Ann Kowal, 58, of Rochester

Linda Ann Kowal, 58, of Rochester, passed away at 2:33 PM on Friday, August 13, 2021 at Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne.

On December 18, 1962, in Rochester, Linda was born to Richard and Betty Ann Wagoner Hassenplug.  Growing up she shared her childhood with a sister, Julie. In 1981, she graduated from Rochester High School.

Linda and Richard Kowal were married on November 26, 1982, in the Rochester Church of God. They shared 38 years of life’s adventures. Their union produced a daughter, Amanda and a son, Richard. Another generation has been added to the family tree with the blessings of four grandchildren.

A banking professional, Linda was a loan officer for Beacon Credit Union at Rochester's South Branch for many years.  With a love for her friends and neighbors, Linda took great joy to call and check in with them to see how they were doing and catch up on the latest.

Socializing and kindness were great character strengths.  An outdoors woman, she enjoyed camping at Pla-Mor and setting around the campfire under the star-lit skies.  There were many visits to North Carolina's Outer Banks where she developed a passion for the Atlantic Ocean.

A proud Grandma, Linda loved gathering for the holidays and special family celebrations making memories with the grands.
