James L. Coplen 77, Mentone

James L. Coplen 77, Mentone, Indiana, passed away at 4:05 P.M. Thursday, October 7, 2021 at his daughter’s residence in Rochester, Indiana.

He was born on August 11, 1944 in Rochester, Indiana, the son of James LeRoy Coplen Sr. and Mary Lee (Crispen) Coplen.

Jim had worked as a tool and die maker. He previously worked for Zimmer’s in Warsaw, Indiana, Wynn’s in Akron, Indiana and for the Torin Corporation (Lau Industires) in Rochester. In his spare time, he enjoyed being with his cat and was an avid reader of the Bible. Jim loved to talk to people about his Savior, Jesus, and all the wonderful things he was going to do when he went home to be with his Savior!

Survivors include his, daughters, Dawn (John) Nicodemus, Rochester, Indiana, Jennifer (Roger) Johnson, Rochester, Indiana, four grandchildren, Jared (Kasee) Brady, Rochester, Indiana, Tyler (Staci) Peterson, Middlebury, Indiana, Aaron (Arin) Johnson, Rochester, Indiana, Adrienne Johnson, Rochester, Indiana,  five great grandchildren, siblings, Randy Coplen, Sun Valley, Arizona, Don Coplen, Syracuse, Indiana, Pat Doran, Rochester, Indiana, Perry (Jeanie) Coplen, Rochester, Indiana, Pam Seidle, Greenwood, Indiana, Tim Coplen, Rochester, Indiana, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law, John Doran and nephew, Victor Coplen.
