Ellen Mae (Frush) Reed-Smith, 86 of rural Fulton County

Ellen Mae (Frush) Reed-Smith, 86 of rural Fulton County, Indiana passed away on October 15, 2021 at 9:55 a.m. at her residence. On January 3, 1935 in Warsaw, Indiana she was born to Robert Frush and Princess Marie (Rathbum) Frush. Ellen had lived most of her life in Marshall County, Indiana.

 

On May 14, 1955 in Warsaw, Indiana she married Thomas R. Reed they shared the next 48 years before he passed in 2003. On January 26, 2008 at the Walnut Church of the Brethren she married Donald E. Smith.

 

Ellen was an abstractor working for First Federal Savings Bank as an Escrow Processor. She retired in 1997.

 

She was a member of the Walnut Church of the Brethren. Ellen served Gideons International where she was Indiana President of Gideons Auxiliary. She served many years as a 4-H leader in Fulton County and always enjoyed the Sheep project. Ellen was a graduate of Warsaw High School with the class of 1952.

 

Ellen is survived by her Husband – Donald Smith of Rochester, Indiana.

 

Daughter – Cheryl Lynn Leininger of Merrill, Wisconsin

 

Son – Robert L. Reed and wife Jamie of Plymouth, Indiana

 

Grandchildren – Aaron Leininger; Seth Leininger; and Latosha Reed

 

3 Great Grandchildren

 

Brother – James Frush and wife Charlene of Sanatobia, Mississippi

 

She is preceded in death by her: Parents, Husband – Thomas Reed

 

Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday October 20, 2021 from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Walnut Church of the Brethren,5975 19th Road, Argos, Indiana.

 

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday October 21, 2021 at 10:00 p.m. at the church with Rev. Robert E. Rice Jr. Burial will follow at the Walnut Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Argos, Indiana.
