Reinhold Robert "Bob"  Lembke, 85

Reinhold Robert "Bob"  Lembke, 85, changed his address from Gold Canyon, AZ to his heavenly home with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Bob Lembke was born on December 10, 1935 to Reinhold John and Christine Lembke in Lincoln, IL. He served in the Army as a medic stationed in Germany from 1957-1960. He graduated from Indiana University with a BS in business in 1960. After college he moved to Muskegon, MI, where he met and married Barbara Cross in 1961. The first half of his working career was in management with Sears, Roebuck and Co. He went on to be the Human Resources manager at Torx, a division of Camcar, and retired in 1998.

He was an active member at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Rochester, as a trustee, Sunday School Superintendent, and congregational vice president. When he and Barbara moved to Gold Canyon, AZ he was an active member at Mt. View Lutheran Church as a trustee, council member, and usher. He was also an active Lion’s Club member for many years in both Rochester and Gold Canyon, AZ where he served as president of each.

He enjoyed bowling, golfing and breakfast with the “boys” on his street. Bob was a talented craftsman and often built sturdy household items. He built a table and grandfather clock from walnut trees he felled on family land in Nebraska. He even made an adorable two-story dollhouse. He especially enjoyed making wooden, antique cars. He even had an exhibit at the Indianapolis Museum of Art. Bob also painted during his leisure time. But most of all, he loved his family dearly. He loved fishing in Canada with his sons and grandson. When family would come for a visit he loved to take them to fun and interesting places. Family Christmases were always a joyous and happy time for him.

Preceding him in death were his parents, infant son Timothy, in-laws Wesley and Dorothy Cross, brother-in-law Richard W. Cross.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, the love of his life, Barbara Lembke, 3 wonderful children, R. David Lembke (Sandra) , Robert W. Lembke and Nancy J. Bonson (Brady), sister Barbara C.
