Sharon Sue Crispen, 62, of Macy

Sharon Sue Crispen, 62, of Macy passed away at 6:25 PM on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Duke’s Memorial Hospital.

On November 8, 1959, Sharon was born in Brunswick, GA to Burrell L. and Patsy Ruth Hodges Boatwright.  Growing up, she shared her childhood with two sisters and a brother.

Sharon was the parts manager at Mike Anderson’s of Rochester. In her free time, she enjoyed painting with acrylics. Being very handy, she was very accomplished  with sewing, quilting, crocheting and baking. Having a green thumb, her flowerbeds, strawberry garden and her fruit trees were always plentiful.  Her love of nature was shown to others with her photography.  As an equestrian, she rode atop Buzzsaw through the countryside. Throughout the day, she could often be found enjoying a glass of iced sweet tea.

Left to cherish the memories of Sharon are three children, Mitch Thornton of Macy, Amanda Barnes of Denver, Kathy Schlosser of Rochester; 11 grandchildren: Miranda, Antonio, Taylor, Jacob, Haley, Brooke, Curtis, Katlynn, Bo, Shane, Mason,  two sisters, Patsy Ruth Heisey and husband David of New Oxford, PA,  Wanda Gail Boatwright of Vidalia; brother, Burrell L. Boatwright Jr. of Brunswick, GA; companion, Dave Bandelier and his loving family and Charlie the seal brown Pitt.

Preceding Sharon in death are her parents, grandparents, Nancy E Hodges,  Thomas Hogdes, Francis and Bernice Crispen and her quarter horse, Buzzsaw and Pitt Bull Buddy.

A celebration of the life of Sharon Sue Crispen will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday December 29, 2021  in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 West 18th St., Rochester. Pastor Thad Stewart will officiate.

 

Friends may visit with the family from 4-7 PM on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 and one prior to the service in the funeral home on Wednesday.

 

Interment will be in the Richland Center IOOF Cemetery.
