Lorrie E. Artist 74, Rochester, passed away at 8:47 P.M. Saturday, December 25, 2021, at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana.

She was born on January 2, 1947 in Hammond, Indiana, the daughter of Albert Elvis and Marie (Pena) Cox. On April 4, 1983 in Whiting, Indiana, she married James P. Artist and he survives.

Lorrie had been a homemaker. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, playing cards and watching her favorite western movies and shows.

Survivors include her husband, James P. Artist, Rochester, Indiana, children, Donald Ray Huffstatler, Rochester, Indiana, Donna Lee Fields, Avon, Indiana, Robert (Martha) Artist, Rochester, Indiana, step-children, James L. Artist, Clayton, Indiana, Michael Artist, Rochester, Indiana, Crystal Gail Conkin and husband, Kingsport, Tennessee, fourteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, sister, Marie Ellis, Malta, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Sandra Cox and Betty Jo Cox.

Graveside Services will be conducted at 1:30 P.M. Monday January 3, 2021 at Moon Cemetery, Kewanna, Indiana. Friends may visit from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Monday January 3, 2021, at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, Indiana. Online condolences may be expressed at www.zimmermanbrosfh.com
