Mr. Pennell had worked as carpenter.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Pennell, Rochester, Indiana, son, Zachary Pennell, Bourbon, Indiana, like a son, Dusty Stephens, Rochester, Indiana, grandchild, Isaac Pennell, Bourbon, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents.
