Irene Howard, 94 of Rochester, passed away on Sunday morning, February 20, 2022 at her residence.
On June 26, 1927, Irene was born in Prestonsburg, KY to Benjamin and Viney Shepherd Adams.
Irene and Warnie Howard were married on May 7, 1944 in Prestonsburg, KY. They shared 59 years of life’s adventures. Sadly, he passed away on October 18, 2003. Their union produced a daughter and two sons.
As a homemaker, Irene cherished the time spent with her family. She enjoyed quilting and sharing the warmth with family and friends. Irene always had a beautiful garden with a bountiful supply of tomatoes.
Left to cherish the memories of Irene are daughter, Ruby Marie Howard, son Clayton Howard all of Rochester; eight grandchildren: Heavenly Shaffer, Chris Howard, Harold Howard II, Zachary Howard, Jacob Howard, Kierra Howard, Maddie Howard, Manin Howard; four great grandchildren: twins Marley Grace Kroc and Ruby Kroc, Zavian Kroc, Avery Kroc; sister: Dorothy Jean Holland of Frankfort, KY; several nieces and nephews; Callie, her Calico kitty and Molly, her Tibetan Terrier.
Preceding Irene in death are her parents, husband, son Harold Howard, two sisters, Lina Adams, Innes Holbrook and brother Ellis Adams.
A celebration of the life of Irene Howard will be at 11:00 Monday, February 28, 2022 in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 West 18th St., Rochester.
Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
Interment will be in the Citizen Cemetery of Rochester.
