Evert Fugate was born on December 15, 1938 and passed away peacefully March 6, 2022. 

He was the son of Everett and Meda Wireman Fugate. Evert leaves behind two sons: James Lee Fugate and Ronald Ray Trusty.

He also leaves behind six grandchildren as wells as one sister, Marie Fugate Haleand one brother, David Lee Fugate.

Evert had a full life. He grew up outside of Medaryville, IN. He worked on the family farm until he enlisted in the US Marines Corps. After the Marines, he became an apprentice electrician at Pullman Standard.  Throughout his life, he worked as a boilermaker and semi-truck driver.

When he wasn’t on the road, he was out in his shed building small trailers or doing some welding for his neighbors. He will be missed by all that knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
