Jerry R. Winter  73, of Argos

Jerry R. Winter  73, of Argos, was surrounded by his loving family when he passed away on Friday evening, July 8, 2022 at the home of his sister.

 

Born on June 1, 1949, Jerry Robert Winter was born to Lawrence N. and Mary Ann Towne Winter. Growing up as the second oldest he spent his childhood with two brothers and a sister.  Jery graduated from Kewanna High School with his class of 1970.  Shortly thereafter, he answered the call of patriotism serving with the United States Army.

 

 

Jerry was a member of the Plymouth Bowling League and the Harvestore's Tractor Club.   To relax he was an avid fisherman.  He enjoyed the sport with his brothers and fished all waters located in Marshall and Fulton Counties.  Paramount to Jerry was his family, he enjoyed family gatherings and special celebrations.

 

Left to cherish Jerry's memory are three children: Jamison Winter of Goshen, Ann Winter of Plymouth and Peggy Sue Winter of Walkerton, 5 grandchildren: J.J. Ashby, Courtney Winter, Jamison Winter II, Jay Winter and Anna Liese Mira, 6 great-grandchildren, his siblings Lawrence N. Winter II of Logansport, Sharon K. Peters of Rochester, Danny R. Winter (Sharon) of Kewanna 10 nieces and nephews Dawn, Melody, Mary Ann, Helena, Bud, Daniel Jr., Crystal, Shan, Charlie, Danny Jr., treasured felines Squeakie and Smokie.

 

A celebration of the life of Mr. Jerry R. Winter, will be Tuesday, July 19 from 11:00 - noon in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 West 18th Street, Rochester, Indiana, 46975.
