Ann Burton Furnivall, 77, Rochester

Ann Burton Furnivall, 77, Rochester, passed away at 6:32 P.M. Sunday, August 7, 2022, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

 

She was born on September 20, 1944 in Rochester, Indiana, the daughter of Joseph and Judy (Gordon) Gilbert. After Joseph’s death in World War II, Judy later married Bryce Burton and he adopted Ann. In 1972 she met Steve Furnivall and has spent the last fifty years at his side. Together they have owned seven businesses including Gemini and their forty four year passion – Green Oak Antiques.

 

Survivors include her husband, Steve Furnivall, Rochester, son, Jon (Terri) Wootten, Rochester, daughter, Julie (Mark) Shambarger, Rochester, grandsons, Matthew, Joshua, Noah and Timothy Wootten, all of Rochester, first husband, Raymond (Linda) Wootten, Rochester, long term confidant, Wade Bussert, Kewanna, sisters, Linda Hatch, Indiana, Nancy Cummings, Indiana, Kathy Burton, Arizona, Christine Sue Arnold, Indiana, Becky Burton, Colorado, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bryce and Judy Burton, and grandparents, Elmer and Fay Gordon.

 

A time to visit and celebrate Ann’s life will take place from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. Monday, August 15, 2022, at the Geneva Center Pavilion, 5282 N. Old U.S. 31, Rochester, Indiana.

 

Private interment will take place at Mount Zion Cemetery, Rochester, Indiana.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to the Pulaski Animal Center, Winamac, Indiana, Fulton County Animal Adoption and Education Center, or the Judy Burton Nature Preserve through the Indiana Department of Natural Resources. Arrangements by Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, Indiana.
