Donald L. McGrew, 89, Rochester, passed away at 4:40 P.M. Monday, August 8, 2022, at Life Care Center of Rochester.

He was born on August 17, 1932 in Fulton County, Indiana, the son of Glen and Dolores (Blacketor) McGrew. He was a 1951 graduate of Fulton High School. On January 18, 1957, he married Freda Siders, at Fletcher’s Lake Church.

Don retired from McGrew’s Well Drilling, Fulton. He attended the Fulton Baptist Temple. Don was a Korean War Veteran serving as a B26 and B29 airplane mechanic and engine specialist in the United States Air Force as Staff Sergeant. He enjoyed hunting, especially pheasant hunting in South Dakota.

Survivors include his wife, Freda McGrew, Rochester, Indiana, two daughters, Tami (Tony) Henderson, Rochester, Indiana, Roberta (John) Fitzpatrick, Indianapolis, Indiana, three grandchildren, Bret (Heather) Henderson, Rochester, Indiana, Nathan (Sara) Fitzpatrick, Indianapolis, Indiana, Emily (Ian) Latulippe, Indianapolis, Indiana, great grandson, Tanner Henderson, Rochester, Indiana, brother, Robert McGrew, Fulton, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Nellie McGrew.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 P.M. Monday, August 15, 2022, at the Fulton Baptist Temple, Fulton, Indiana.

Friends may visit from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. Monday at the church.

Burial will be in the Fulton Cemetery, Fulton, Indiana where military graveside services will be conducted by the Fulton County Veteran’s Honor Guard.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Fulton Baptist Temple.
