Georgia Darlene Bockmann, 86, of Lafayette, IN (formerly of Omaha, NE and Winamac) passed away on Monday, October 24, 2022 at St. Mary’s Healthcare Center in Lafayette. 

She was born on May 23, 1936 in Omaha to the late George J. and Lucille E. [Schwartz] Bockmann.  She was a caregiver for her parents until their passing and also worked in several different restaurants. 

Darlene was a member of the Winamac First United Methodist Church where she was active in the Susanna Wesley Circle and Kiwanis Club Meal committees.  She also cataloged books and videos for the church.

Darlene enjoyed watching game shows and playing Bingo as well as doing puzzles, word searches, and arts & crafts.  Most of all, she loved being with her family.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Graveside Services will be held at 1 PM EST on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 with Barbara Kleinofen officiating.

Burial will take place at Winamac Cemetery (McKinley Addition) in Winamac, IN.

Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Healthcare Center or Winamac First United Methodist Church.
