Patricia Sue “Patti” Hopper, 71, of Ft. Wayne, formerly of Merrillville, passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2022 at Life Care Center in Ft. Wayne. 

She was born on September 14, 1951 in Gary, IN to the late James E. and Betty Sue [Swindle] DeShazo. 

Patti graduated from Merrillville High School in 1969.  She worked at Zayre and Walmart in various retail positions until retirement.  

Patti enjoyed crafting and reading.  She will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by:

Samantha (Arjun) Chowdhury, Ft. Wayne, IN Granddaughter

2 Great Grandsons

James E. (Gary Burgess) DeShazo, Jr., Forest, VA Brother

Preceded in death by:

James E. and Betty Sue [Swindle] DeShazo, Sr., Parents

The family wishes to thank the staff at Life Care Center in Ft. Wayne for the love and care they gave to Patti.

Private Burial will take place at The Alexander Heinemann Memorial Cemetery in Ora, IN.
