Carol Lynn (Harris) McCoy, 77, of Argos

Carol Lynn (Harris) McCoy, 77, of Argos, passed away on November 6, 2022, at 11:37 am at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka.

 

She was born October 3, 1945, the daughter of Jerry Rogers and Frank G (Nora ) Harris.

 

She grew up in Slidell, Louisiana and New York City . Carol spent many years with her grandma, Mabel Hawk Depolito.

 

She married James L. McCoy in California. They later divorced. She met her soulmate, Pierce Vires Jr. in 1981. Together they shared  41 years and became loving parents and grandparents.

 

She enjoyed decorating their home, gardening and best of all, shopping! She was always on the hunt for the next bargain. Carol loved listening to music and enjoyed when family and friends would pick guitars.

 

Carol is survived by soulmate – Pierce Vires Jr. of Argos, Indiana

 

Daughters – Pam McCoy of Argos, Indiana; Sandi McClellan and husband Eric of Donaldson, Indiana

 

Son – Mike McCoy and wife Samantha of Alcester, South Dakota

 

Grandchildren – Danielle Styles and husband Dan; Dale Rex and wife Melissa; Brett Hammond; Kylie Woodka and husband KR; Trey Krantz; Quinn Luse and wife Taylor; Nikki Johnson and husband Cole; Cheyenne Harry and Fiancé Ryan Davis

 

Great Grandchildren – Phoenix, Danika, and McKynlee Dickson; Hartley Styles; Zander and Gavin Rex; James and Adaline Rex; Parker and Aubree Woodka; Westin Luse and his little brother due in February.

 

Special friends – Susan Welch McCoy and Michelle Moeller

 

Step-Sister – Selma Babin of Prairieville, Louisiana

 

And her beloved Vires family

 

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Terry Phelps and grandson Deven Rex.

 

No Services are planned at this time, per Carol’s wishes. Instead, family and friends will gather at the Izaak Walton for a carry in dinner on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 12:00 noon. Don’t forget your guitars.
