Kelsa Mae Carr, 84, Rochester

Kelsa Mae Carr, 84, Rochester, passed away at 6:20 P.M. Friday, November 25, 2022 at her home.  She was born on November 28, 1937 in Floyd County, Kentucky to Whitten & Lucinda (Ratliff) Reffett, Sr.

Kelsa was a 1956 graduate of Grass Creek High School, Grass Creek, Indiana.  On October 5, 1958, she married Phillip Carr, who survives.   Kelsa worked in the Fulton County Auditor’s Office, Rochester until her retirement.  Kelsa enjoyed cooking and baking for her family, friends and many more. Many enjoyed her cookies and pies throughout the community.

She is survived by her husband, Phil of Rochester, a son, Greg (Teri) Carr of Rochester and a daughter, Greta (Ron) Lynch of Rochester, grandchildren – Jared (Dasha) Lynch of Rochester, Ryleigh (Deanna) Carr of Culver, Chaneigh Mae Carr of Rochester, Aaron (Kristen) Lynch of Rochester, and great-grandchildren Aiden Lynch, Camden Vanata, Jaxon Carr, Jace Carr, one sister, Lottie Kotterman, North Carolina, sister-in-law’s Donna Reffett, Lagrange, IN and Ida Reffett, AZ, brother-in-law, John (Linda) Milliser of Rochester and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents, four brothers, a sister, ten half-brothers & half-sisters and granddaughter, Sidneigh Jo Carr.

There will be no viewing. 

A private family graveside service at the Fulton Cemetery, Fulton, Indiana will be held at a later date.
