Patricia Ann Porter, 79, of Akron, Indiana (Rock Lake), passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at her residence.
Patricia was born on April 4, 1943 in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Frank and Edna (Weems) Moss. She married on Nov. 23, 1960 in Birmingham, Alabama to Michael J. Porter, he survives.
Patricia enjoyed golfing, painting, and life with her husband at the lake, watching nature together from their front porch. But mostly, she enjoyed hosting her family. She was all about family. She was a loving wife for 62 years. She was a doting mother and grandmother. She lived for her loved ones and family meant everything to her.
Survives include her husband Mike Porter of Akron; Michael Lee and wife Christy Porter of Cary,IL, Elizabeth and husband Tom Synak of Hanover Park, IL, and Susan and husband Joe Dentamaro of St. Clair Shores, MI; grandchildren Nick and Georgia Dentamaro, Jake Porter, Nona Porter, and Sean Porter; great grandchild Campbell Dentamaro; and a sister Terri Staten of Georgia and many nieces and nephews.
Patricia was preceded by her parents and siblings Michael Moss, Sue Nixon, and Judy Mattingly.
Private family services are being held at Hartzler Funeral Home, 305 West Rochester Street Akron, Indiana.
