Harry Jay Adams, 95, of Argos, passed away December 15, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in the  Catherine Kasper Home, Donaldson, Indiana.

On May 23, 1927, in Silver Lake, Indiana he was born to Loren Adams and Maybelle M. (Perry) Adams. Harry lived in Argos since 1945.

On August 17, 1947, in Argos, Indiana he married Ruth Eileen Jones and together they shared the next 72 years until Ruth’s passing on May 1, 2020.

Harry was a farmer and worked for DESCO Chemical in Nappanee, Indiana retiring in 1983.

Harry was a graduate of Silver Lake High School with the class of 1945. He was a member of the Argos Lions Club and Plymouth Elks Lodge.

Harry is survived by his Daughters – Shirleen Martens and husband Kim of Red Lodge, Montana; and Darleen Vanderweele and husband Jon D. of Argos, Indiana

7 Grandchildren – Todd Vanderweele and wife Kelli of Plymouth, Indiana; Amee Stone and husband Andy of Argos, Indiana; Mark Vanderweele and wife Jena of Argos, Indiana; Kari Nielson and husband Troy of Fishers, Indiana; Jean Bess and husband Larry of Monroe, Michigan; Jennifer Browning and husband Pat of Noblesville, Indiana; and Chris Martens and wife Erin of Bismark, North Dakota

and 16 Great Grandchildren

He is preceded in death by his: Parents, Wife, Great Grandchildren Hudson Nielson and Trevon Browning, Brothers – Loren Adams Jr. and Harold Adams

Private Funeral Services will be held on Monday December 26, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at the Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos, Indiana with Rev. Robert E. Rice Jr.

Private burial to follow.
