Samuel Edward Golden Sr., 89 of Argos, passed away December 29, 2022 at 6:10 p.m. at his residence.

On September 3, 1933, in Bourbon, Indiana he was born to Arthur Golden and Erma (Jones) Golden. He’s lived in the Argos community for nearly 60 years, having grown up in Bourbon and Mentone.

He married Ramona Grosvenor and from that union came their children Dixie and Samuel Jr.

A lifetime farmer, Samuel loved raising livestock and still had a few beef cattle on the farm. He retired from Bendix (Honeywell) in South Bend, Indiana.

He was a graduate of Beaver Dam High School with the class of 1951. Samuel enjoyed collecting tractors, cars, and antiques.

Samuel is survived by his daughter – Dixie Warner and husband Robert of Plymouth, Indiana; and son – Samuel Golden Jr. and wife Michelle of Argos.

8 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren

Sister – Mary Rodway of Warsaw, Indiana

He is preceded in death by his parents, daughters – Diane Golden and a infant daughter, sisters – Irene Konkle, Dorothy Watkins, Joy Steager, and Ruth Golden, brothers – Russell Golden, Donald Golden, and Paul Golden

Friends may visit with the family on Saturday January 7, 2023, from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos, Indiana. 

Funeral Services will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Lloyd Howard. Burial will follow at the Parks Cemetery, Bourbon, Indiana.
