Larry Meryl Shivers, 85, of Plymouth, and formerly of the Argos community, passed away January 6, 2023 at 5:37 p.m. at Miller's Merry Manor, Plymouth, Indiana were he had been in declining health.
On May 27, 1937, in rural Fulton County, Indiana he was born to Walter Meryl Shivers and Edith Irene (Kaufman) Shivers. Larry lived most of his life in the Argos community.
On June 8, 1958, in Argos, Indiana he married Sheila A. Kelley and together they shared the past 64 years.
Larry was a lifetime farmer and was awarded the Outstanding Young Farmer. Larry loved boating and water skiing with family and friends.
He was a graduate of Argos High School with the class of 1955. Larry served in the United States Army Reserves.
Larry is survived by his Wife – Sheila Shivers of Plymouth, Indiana
Children – Bruce Shivers and wife Cindy of Cincinnati, Ohio; Sonya Dunfee and husband Jeff of Greensburg, Indiana; and Kristine Fawley and husband Matt of Bremen, Indiana
8 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren
Sisters – Janet Evers and husband Ross of Mt. Dora, Floridia; Connie Lustman of Rockford, Illinios; and Cheryl VanDerWeele of Leo, Indiana
He is preceded in death by his: Parents; Grandson – Zachary; and Granddaughter - Rachel
Graveside Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday January 11, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos, Indiana with Don Rienholt with burial to follow..
