Patty Eads, 68, of Rochester, passed away 5:10 AM, on Monday, January 2, 2023 at Miller’s Merry Manor of Culver.
On June 26, 1954, Patricia J. Frettinger was born in Plymouth to Frank Edward and Thelma J. Moon Frettinger. Growing up she shared her childhood with two sisters and a brother. Proudly she graduated with the class of 1972 from Rochester High School.
In the Whippoorwill Community Church, Patty and Richard A. "Rick" Eads were married on December 8, 1973 . They shared 31 years of life’s adventures. Sadly, he passed away on June 11, 2004.
Patty worked with Rick in their construction business. She would assist him the finish work and add the special touches to complete the job. As a resident assistant, at Wynnfield Crossing, Patty helped care for residents and created many lasting relationships with the families she served.
With a green thumb, Patty took great pride in planting and taking care of her vibrant flower gardens. She watched the birds and kept their feeders full through out the year. Gifted with her hands, Patty enjoyed needlepoint and created many unique projects for family and friends. To relax, she liked to read and work puzzles.
Left to cherish Patty's memory are her mother Thelma Frettinger of Rochester; sister Peggy Casey of Indianapolis; brother Dan Frettinger and wife Inma of Princeton, TX; a niece, Dawn Eschenbach and husband Cary; six nephews: Joel Casey and wife Tara, Dustin Casey, Jacob Frettinger, Taylor Frettinger, Andy Frettinger and Chris Frettinger; and two great-nieces, Isla Margaret Casey and Audie Kayanne Casey.
Preceding Patty in death are her father; husband; sister, Susan Frettinger; sister-in-law, Shar Frettinger on April 6, 2016 and brother-in-law, Raymond Casey on February 17, 2021.
A celebration of the life of Patricia J. "Patty" Eads will be at 1:00 PM on Monday, January 9, 2023 in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 West 18th St., Rochester. Pastor Bill McSpadden will officiate.
Friends may visit with the family two hours prior to the service in the funeral home.
Interment will be in the Richland Center IOOF Cemetery.
