Charles Robert “Bob” Vanata, 79, of Fulton, and formerly of Lakeland, and The Villages, Florida passed at 5:30 am, Thursday, Feb. 23, 2023 at Lutheran Hospital of Ft. Wayne, Ind.
Bob was born on Aug. 25, 1943 in Logansport, Ind. to the late Clifford and Josephine (Sanders) Vanata. He married on March 21, 1981 by Rev. Hapner in Fulton, Ind. to Elaine Sue Campbell Johnson, she survives.
He was a 1961 graduate of Fulton High School. He was a construction supervisor for Cone Construction of Florida and also worked for Burton Construction of Rochester. He enjoyed tractors, gardening, watching RFD on television, and his Little Red Express.
He is survived by his wife Sue Vanata of Fulton; daughter Lesley and husband Troy Corn of Rochester; son Christopher and wife Christine Vanata of Akron; step daughter Nicole and husband George Grandstaff of South Riding, Virginia; step son Nathan and wife Nicole Johnson of Rochester; 11 Grandchildren; 31 Great Grandchildren; and his dogs Lucy, Ringo, Dusty.
Following his wishes, no visitation or services will be held.
