Phillip Bond Lowery

Phillip Bond Lowery passed away peacefully at home from metastatic prostate cancer, with his family by his side on March 18, 2023.

 

Born in Indianapolis, Indiana on January 7, 1965 he was the beloved son to the late William and Nancy Lowery (nee Trosper).

 

Phil graduated from Plainfield High School in 1983. He then went on to receive his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Butler University in 1988. Phil dedicated 35 years to Merck & Co, Inc. where he held 12 positions over the years, primarily in the Vaccine Division. Phil was a member of Lower Providence Presbyterian Church. Phil met the love of his life, Suzanne (nee Gutwein) during their training as sale representatives. On March 10, they celebrated 33 years of marriage.

 

Phil was an energetic, driven individual who was loved by family, friends and colleagues. He enjoyed cooking and traveling, but his greatest joy in life was his family.

 

He was a cherished husband, devoted father to Dr. Madeleine Lowery, Drs. Andrew Lowery (Gabija), and Paulina Lowery, dear brother to Robert Lowery, Dr. Doug Lowery (Missy), son-in-law to Fredrick and Madeleine Gutwein, brother-in-law to Fred Gutwein, Jr. (Darlene), Dr. Heidi Gutwein, David Gutwein (Janine), Ben Gutwein, Greta Dyer (Chris), uncle to many and friend to all. He will be deeply missed. In addition to his parents, Phil was also preceded in death by his brother Richard Lowery.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to Phil’s Life Celebration on Thursday March 23, 2023 from 5 pm to 6:50 pm with a Memorial Service at 7 pm all at Boyd-Horrox-Givnish Life Celebration Home of East Norriton, 200 West Germantown Pike.

 

An additional service will be held in Francesville, IN at the Frain Mortuary 230 S. Brooks St. Francesville, IN, on Sunday March 26 from 2 PM to 6 PM.

 

The Funeral Service will be on Monday at 10:30 AM with his burial to follow at Roseland Cemetery on County Rd. 500 S, Francesville, IN
