Betty L. Corn 78, Rochester

Betty L. Corn 78, Rochester, passed away at 5:33 P.M. Saturday, March 25, 2023 at her residence.

 

She was born on February 4, 1945 in Rochester, Indiana, the daughter of Carl Lester and Margaret A. (Apt) Showley. She graduated from North Caston High School in 1963. On March 7, 1964 at the Fulton Baptist Temple in Fulton, Indiana, she married Herbert L. Corn and he survives.

 

Betty retired from the former Hart, Schaffner and Marx in Rochester, Indiana and had been a member of the former Olive Branch Church in Kewanna and the Kewanna Church of Christ. She enjoyed doing word search puzzles, tending to her flowers and loved fellowshipping with family and friends.

 

Survivors include her husband, Herbert L. Corn, Rochester, Indiana, children, Tammy (Ron) Wintczak, Knox, Indiana, Todd (Rhonda) Corn, Logansport, Indiana, Troy (Lesley) Corn, Rochester, Indiana, Timothy (Julie) Corn, Winamac, Indiana, sixteen grandchildren, twenty seven great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, brother, Eddie (Mary) Showley, Logansport, Indiana, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Philip (Sonja) Showley.

 

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Thursday March 30, 2023, at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, Indiana.

 

Friends may visit from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Salem Cemetery, Rochester, Indiana.
