Charles E. Dunlap, 82 of Argos, passed away on April 20, 2023 at 4:08 a.m. at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.

On October 3, 1940, in Argos, Indiana he was born to Charles Earl Dunlap and Reba (Flagg) Dunlap. He had lived all his life in the Argos community.

Charles owned and operated Dunlap Concrete.

He was a CMH3-Construction Mechanic (Heavy Construction) Petty Officer 3rd Class in the United States Navy having served from May 11, 1965, to August 5, 1969, when he received his Honorable Discharge. Charles was a graduate of Argos High School with the class of 1958. He was a member of the American Legion Post #68, Argos, Indiana.

Charles is survived by Nieces – Tammy Jones and husband Don of Syracuse, Indiana; Trisha Sporner and husband Brian of Bourbon, Indiana; Lora Harris of Warsaw, Indiana.

Nephews – Kirk Wyman and wife Judie of Warsaw, Indiana; and Kenny Wyman of Pierceton, Indiana

Caregiver and close friend – Kim Jacobs of Walkerton, Indiana

He is preceded in death by his Parents, Brother – Mark Dunlap, Sister – Marjorie Wyman.

Graveside Gathering will be held on Saturday May 6, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos, with Cindy Flagg officiating.

Burial will follow with the United States Navy Honor Guard and the American Legion Post#68 Argos.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
