Arlene L. Cole, 91, of LaPorte, passed at 9:30 pm, Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at Brickyard Health of LaPorte.

Arlene was born on March 27, 1932 near Akron, Indiana to the late Harold D. and Annabelle (Shriver) Hammond. She married on June 3, 1950 to Theodore L. Cole, who preceded her in death on May 17, 1981.

She was a 1950 graduate of Akron High School. She then furthered her education at beautician school in South Bend. Arlene worked as a beautician for over 35 years. In earlier days, she loved to skate at Rock Lake. She had a kind heart and will be missed.

She is survived by her sisters Gladys Hight of Michigan and Marla Vazquez of LaPorte and a brother Bud Hammond of Akron.

Arlene was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Theodore.

Following her wishes no services will be held at this time. A private interment will take place in the Akron Cemetery, Akron, Indiana next to her husband.

The arrangements have been entrusted to Hartzler Funeral Home 305 West Rochester Street Akron, Indiana.
