Cindy Schaeffner, 71, of Rochester, was surrounded by her loving family when she passed away on Friday, September 8, 2023, at Elkhart General Hospital.
On March 22, 1952, Cindy Sue Richardson was born in Rochester to Kenny and Phyllis Smith Richardson. She was a lifetime resident of Fulton County.
As a homemaker, Cindy enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking and housekeeping. In her spare time, she watched TV, played Yahtzee and worked in her yard. She was especially proud of the roses she planted around her home.
Left to cherish Cindy's memory are her companion, Brad Peltz; three children including twins, Susanna Elchert and husband Scott of Warsaw and Robert Schaeffner Sr.; Paul Schaeffner and wife Tracy all of Rochester; 11 grandchildren: Brittany Sue, Daniel Skyler, Arial Nicole, Alexis Laura Lynn, Amanda Jo Laine, Jarazzna Leigh, Matera Marie, Robert Lee Jr, Ray Von, Autumn Rose, Destiny Faith ; 9 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding Cindy in death is her mother Phyllis Barrett on Feb. 1, 2023; father Kenny Richardson; step-father Earl Barrett; two brothers: Gary Wayne Richardson, Charles Albert Richardson; and three sisters: Kathryn Mount, L. Gail See, and Annette White .
A celebration of the life of Cindy Sue Schaeffner will be at noon on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, in the Good family Funeral Home, 1200 West 18th Street, Rochester. Pastor Allen Schaeffner will officiate.
Friends may visit with her family from 10:00 AM until the hour of the service. Interment will be in the Rochester IOOF Cemetery
