Rebecca "Becky" C. Mahoney 63, Macy

Rebecca “Becky” C. Mahoney 63, Macy, passed away at 2:46 P.M. Sunday, September 10, 2023, in Little River-Academy, Texas.

She was born September 29, 1959, in Temple, Texas, the daughter of David W. and Clara (Pazdral) Phillips Sr. On May 26, 1981, in Clarksville, Arkansas, she married Patrick W. Mahoney.

Becky grew up on her family’s farm in Little River-Academy and was one of the first girls in the area to belong to FFA. She graduated from Sul Ross State University and worked as an L.P.N. Becky retired from nursing to be a stay-at-home mom, homeschooling her children and running her own family farm. Becky was a member of The Cross Wesleyan Church of Rochester, Indiana and the Rochester Optimist Club, where she served as Club President, as well as Distinguished Governor for the Optimist Indiana North District. She also served as the Board President for the American Guinea Hog Association.

Survivors include her husband, Patrick W. Mahoney, her four children, Brian Patrick Mahoney, of Indianapolis, Indiana, Phillip Matthew Mahoney and wife Brittany, of Auburn, New Hampshire, Clara Elizabeth Mahoney, of South Bend, Indiana, and Kathleen Jeanette Mahoney, of Macy, Indiana, her three grandchildren, Taran Benjamin Timothy Mahoney, Quinn Saoirse Ann Mahoney, and Miriam Aisling Rebecca Mahoney, all of Auburn, New Hampshire, her brothers Tod Phillips, of Little River-Academy, Texas, Mark Phillips, of Tomball, Texas, Jimmy Phillips, of Austin, Texas, sister-in-law, Cindy Avery, of Little River-Academy, Texas, as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, David W. Phillips Sr. and Clara Joan (Pazdral) Pinkerton, and her brother, David W. Phillips Jr.

Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Friday, September 29, 2023, at The Cross Wesleyan Church, Rochester, Indiana. Friends may visit from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. Friday, September 29, 2023 at the Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Rochester Optimist Club or The Cross Wesleyan Church.
