Donna Gearhart, 89, of Rochester,  and longtime Fulton resident

Donna Gearhart, 89, of Rochester,  and longtime Fulton resident, passed away at 6:58 A.M. Friday, January 5, 2023, at Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester, after a brief illness.

She was born on January 9, 1934 in Rochester, Indiana, the daughter of Lee and Irene (Smith) Becker. On May 2, 1954 in Akron, Indiana, she married Larry V. Gearhart. He preceded her in death on May 23, 2023.

Early in her life, Donna had worked as seamstress sewing for a manufacturing plant in Akron and later in life worked part time for Kroger. Donna was also a dedicated homemaker raising her three children, Rick, Greg, and Diane. She along with her husband Larry were enthusiasts of antique furniture, figurines and dishes which led to them opening Gearhart Antiques. She spent many happy hours doing all types of crafts, especially wreaths and flower arrangements. She loved decorating her home with flowers and some of her favorite antiques that she collected over years. An avid animal lover, she enjoyed all her animals especially her cats. Donna had been a member of the Fulton Baptist Temple.

Survivors include her children, Rick (Amy) Gearhart, Winamac, Indiana, Diane Gearhart, Rochester, Indiana, daughter-in-law, Cheryl Gearhart, Fulton, Indiana, grandchildren, Timothy Gearhart, Winamac, Indiana, Jessica Gearhart, Pennsylvania, Heath Gearhart, Fulton, Indiana, Misty Gearhart, Fulton, Indiana, Brandon Gearhart, Indianapolis, Indiana, Kristen Gearhart, Fulton, Indiana, and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Greg Gearhart.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester.

Friends may visit from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in the Fulton Cemetery, Fulton, Indiana.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Fulton County Animal Adoption and Education Center.
