Nettie L. Gray, 82, of Argos, passed away at 4:31 PM on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Brickyard Healthcare of Elkhart.

On October 21, 1941 Nettie was born in Bremen to Harrison and Eleda Ruth  Macomber Heckaman. Growing up she shared her childhood with four siblings. Proudly she graduated with the Class of 1958 from Bremen High School.

Nettie and Donald A. Gray were married on July 20, 1967 in Rochester. They shared 50 years of life’s adventures. Sadly, he passed away on December 22, 2017.

Don and Nettie owned and operated Gray’s Ten Pin Auction until retiring in 2010. Nettie was the auction clerk and was known for keeping things in order.

Over the years, Nettie’s favorite place to go was the Argos Public Library. She loved to visit with friends and to work on the latest jigsaw puzzles.

Left to cherish the memories of Nettie are four nieces and nephews: Peggy Johnson of Goshen, Conny Nichols and husband Verle of Plymouth, Jeffery Balsley of Big Fork, Minn, Tracy Balsley and wife Judy of Bremen.

Preceding Nettie in death are her parents, husband, four siblings and a nephew Perry Balsley.

Nettie donated her body to the Anatomical Education Program at the Indiana University School of Medicine.

Following Nettie’s wishes, there will not be any services. The Good Family Funeral Home of Rochester has been entrusted with the arrangements.
