Mark E. Stout, 72, of Star City

Mark E. Stout, 72, of Star City, passed away at 4:38 PM on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne. 

He was born on February 13, 1952 in rural Winamac to the late Burl and Fern [Roberts] Stout. 

Mark graduated from West Central High School in 1970.  

On November 17, 1973, he married Sharron L. “Sherry” Korner.  Mark was a loving husband and devoted dad.  He supported his grandkids in all that they did.  Mark greatly enjoyed family reunions.

Mark worked at Galbreath for 49 years where he made a lot of friendships over the years.  He worked hard his entire life and was a talented welder.  Mark had previously worked at US Steel, A & A Sheet Metal, and FRATCO. 

Mark attended Heartland Church in Winamac.  He was an avid Mopar enthusiast and a dog lover (especially Belle).  He enjoyed being outdoors especially mowing the lawn, fishing on Fletcher Lake, and working on his old Buick.  He also enjoyed woodworking.  Mark will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.

Visitation will be from 4-8 PM EST Thursday, March 7, 2024 at Frain Mortuary in Winamac.

Funeral services will be held at 10 AM EST Friday, March 8, 2024 at Heartland Church in Winamac, IN with Pastor Heath Hiatt officiating.

Burial will take place at Koster Cemetery in Francesville, IN. 

Memorial contributions may be made to Pulaski Animal Center or Warrior Youth Baseball or Star City Lions Club.
