Teresa L. Gates, 71, of Rochester, passed at 2:57 pm, Sunday, March 31, 2024 at her residence. 
Teresa was born on July 19, 1952 in Logansport, Indiana to the late Thomas and Marsha (Dillman) Gates.  In her early life she was a devout Catholic. She graduated from Rochester High School and furthered her education at Ancilla College attaining her nursing certification. 
Teresa served as a LPN for LifeCare and Hickory Creek both of Rochester. Lastly she was the nurse for the South Bend Juvenile Justice Center.  She was an independent woman who enjoyed gardening, cooking, fishing and collecting religious items such as crosses and angels.  
She is survived by her sons Tony and wife Jessica Gates and Harley Gates both of Rochester; 7 Grandchildren; and a Great Grandson.
Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, 2 Sisters, and a Brother.  Following her wishes no services will be held at this time.
The arrangements have been entrusted to Hartzler Funeral Home 305 West Rochester Street Akron, Indiana.
