Rochester girls basketball wins second straight to stay unbeaten in TRC

Rochester used a 16-7 fourth quarter on Saturday to get Maconaquah in TRC girls basketball, 34-29.

 

It was Rochester's second straight win after opening the season with four consecutive losses.

 

Maconaquah dominated the rebound category by doubling up Rochester, 28-14.  But the Braves committed 20 turnovers while Rochester had just five.

 

Rily Holloway and Ella McCarter led Rochester with 12 points each.  Holloway connected on 4-of-9 3-point field goals.  McCarter shot 5-of-8 from the field.

 

Rylee Clevenger added 10 for Rochester (2-4, 2-0 TRC).

 

Maconaquah (1-2, 1-1 TRC) was led by Miranda Stoll's 11 points.

Ashlynn Brooke powered Pioneer to the win with a 31 point, 2 rebound, 5 assist performance

Kandace Kroft 15 points, 5 rebounds as Winamac remained winless.

Manchester sophomore Brookelynn Buzzard scored 19 points.
