Woodlan made nearly twice as many shots from the field as Rochester in posting a Wawasee Tournament semifinal win Friday afternoon, 58-33.
Woodlan (9-2) connected on 18 two-point field goals and six more from behind the 3-point arc in advancing to tonight’s championship game against Wawasee. The home team handled Trinity Greenlawn in the other semifinal, 50-16.
Woodlan had four players score in double figures led by DeJay Gerigs’s 18 points.
Woodlanalso defeated Rochester in the semifinal of the Wawasee Tournament last season.
Paul Leasure made eight of the Zebras 13 made field goals to tie for game-high honors with 18 points.
Rochester (3-3) will play Trinity Greenlawn in the third- place game tonight.
