Zehner steps down from Culver football sidelines while continuing on as AD and Dean of Students

Mike Zehner is stepping down as head football coach at Culver.

He will continue as the school's athletic director.  That position became full time in 2019 when the Culver School Board decided to separate the AD's position from the assistant principal position. However, Zehner was named the Dean of Students for the school corporation last year.

Zehner spent seven seasons as head coach of his alma mater.  The 2001 Culver graduate is 35-42 as the Cavaliers head football coach.

Culver was 7-5 this past season. The Cavaliers have been eliminated from postseason play four consecutive seasons, three of those in the sectional championship game.

Before going home to Culver, Zehner compiled a 27-16 record and three winning campaigns as the head football coach at Rochester.

Zehner played his college football at Manchester University.
