The Plymouth Police Department announced information to the public via its Facebook page of a letter that was received by a city resident. The letter indicates that the organization that is soliciting the funds supports the Plymouth Police Department by providing equipment. The information is false, as the department has never received any equipment from the United States Deputy Sheriff’s Association.

Police advise you be careful and do research before deciding to donate money to an organization you are not familiar with.

The Plymouth Police Department does not solicit funds from private citizens, nor do they have an outside organization do it on our behalf.
