Rochester has requested and received a permit to aid residents with storm clean-up.
Monday’s severe storm came through the City of Rochester and brought down several trees and tree limbs. Because of that, Mayor Denton contacted the Indiana Department of Environmental Management to secure a 30 day burn permit.
The City of Rochester has successfully obtained the permit which allows the burning of woody material only. This will expire on September 12.
