Rochester schools to close in-person learning thru November 16

Schools in Rochester are closing to in-person learning due to COVID.

Superintendent Jana Vance released the following letter Monday morning:

Good afternoon—

It is with a heavy heart that I am announcing the close of Rochester Community Schools in-person learning through November 16.  At this time, we anticipate reopening our district on November 17.

We will be providing meals to all students who would like that service beginning this Wednesday, November 4.  Please check our website www.zebras.net  for further information.

Your student’s building level principal will be sending you specific information around virtual learning and those expectations.  Please note that virtual learning will begin tomorrow.

We apologize for the inconvenience, but due to COVID and those throughout the district who are either symptomatic or quarantined, it is necessary for us to safeguard all.

Respectfully,

Jana K. Vance, Ed.S

Superintendent

Rochester Community School Corporation
