Two people arrested in a weekend Rochester shooting.

Rochester Police responded top 510 Race Street just after 10:00 pm Friday.  John Larson, 52, had been shot at that location.  Larson’s injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.

Rochester Police and the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation by processing the scene and interviewing people at or near the location.  Evidence gathered at the scene provided officers with leads that led to the arrest of two people.

Tyler Allen Smith, 25, is charged with attempted murder, criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon and aggravated battery. A search warrant for Smith’s residence and vehicle led to the arrest of Michael Hensel, 38.  Hensel was charged with possession of illegal narcotics.

Smith is being held in the Fulton County Jail.
